What is the Oxford Gripper Strip Lap Frame?
Although we are an official Amy Oxford supplier, we do not offer the Oxford Gripper frame in our shop, and here's why: although this type of frame is popular, we don't like working with the risk of injury. The gripper requires covering the metal spikes with thick fabric to prevent accidents (which adds additional expense), and requires working on a flat, rigid surface, which limits freedom of movement. In addition, due to its structure and height, the gripper is often heavy and takes up a lot of space.
At Moomzart, we believe that punch needle should be a pleasurable and flexible activity, without fear of injury or posture restrictions. We love the freedom of being able to punch anywhere in the house, whether on the couch, on the subway, or on vacation.
